Adele Wanda Bodner

Adele Wanda Bodner 94, of Manchester, NH died March 9, 2014 at the Villa Crest Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family and caring staff at the health care facility. Mrs Bodner, was born in Manchester, NH on November 19, 1919 and was the daughter of Francziszek and Karolina (Sroka) Sienko. She was the widow of Walter Bodner who died in 1999. She was a member of Holy Trinity Cathedral and held memberships in the Maria Konopnicka Society and the ANS. Mrs Bodner, was proud of her Polish heritage, sharing many stories of her youth in Poland. She loved traditional Polish music and enjoyed her many travels to Poland visiting family. She was an active part of the pierogi preparation for the annual fair for many years. Her enjoyment was gardening in which she produced bountiful amounts of fruit, flowers and vegetables that she would give to family and friends. She also enjoyed giving away her crocheted roses and pillows. She had a loving smile for all, whether friend or stranger. Members of her family include her two sons Walter Bodner and his wife Phyllis of Memphis,TN Stanley Bodner and his wife Sue of Pembroke, NH. One daughter Karolina Bodner and her husband Doug Bogen of Barrington,NH. One sister Bronistawa Grzeszczyczyn and one brother Tadeusz Sienko, both of Poland. Also four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great great – grandchild and many many cousins. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Cain & Janosz Funeral Home and Cremation Service 74 Brook St corner of Pine St. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Cathedral with Bishop Paul Sobiechowski, officiating.
