Richard F Bodkin, 99, of Manchester, NH, died December 21, 2014 at the Catholic Medical Center. Mr. Bodkin was born in Pittsfield, NH, on April 29, 1915, and was the son of Frank J and Fredeline J (LeDuc) Bodkin. He was the widower of Lillian R. (Boudreau) Bodkin who died in 1999. Mr. Bodkin was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army. He was a communicant of St Joseph Cathedral and also was a Boy Scout Master for Troop 131 at St Joseph Cathedral. Prior to his retirement he was employed with Sanel Auto Electric for 30 years having retired at age 80. He also had employment over the years with Manchester Knitted Fashions and Brookshire Knitting Mill. He was an avid Red Sox fan and a huge Green Bay Packers fan for years. Members of the family include his two sons Normand R Bodkin and his wife Sheila of Manchester, NH and Rene R Bodkin of Graz, Austria. One grandson Kenneth R Bodkin and his wife Andrea of Londonderry, NH. Two great-grandchildren Brooke Bodkin and Makenzie Bodkin. A predeceased sister Doris G Terheide. Also, several nephews, nieces and cousins. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday December 26, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Cain & Janosz Funeral Home and Cremation Service 74 Brook St corner of Pine St. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
