Douglas “Doug” Bernard 48, of Hooksett, NH died May 31, 2016 at the Concord Hospital of heart failure.  Doug, was born in Boston, MA on February 3, 1968 and was the son of David and Florence Bernard.  He was a graduate of Trinity High School, then continued on to study plant biology and resource economics with a minor in psychology at the University of New Hampshire.  Later in life, he furthered his education at  Manchester Community College.  He was self-employed electrician, plumber and landscaper, he had many jobs over the years, loved to work hard.  He was a “jack of all trades”and always enjoyed learning new things.    Doug, grew up in Hooksett and lived in Manchester for many years.   He most recently lived in Concord, NH.

Doug, loved music and going to concerts, enjoyed camping, kayaking, hiking, cooking and nurturing  all plants and animals.  He enjoyed doing anything to help the people he cared for.  His happiest time in life was spending time with friends and family. 

He was survived by his parents and his companion Gina Anzalone of Concord, NH.  A sister Melissa Bernard of Florida, several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.   He had many close friends and loved ones, and will be remembered fondly as being a kind soul with an infectious smile and recognizable grin.
