Eleanor Regina Bauza

June 13, 1940 –  October 11, 2010 

Eleanor R. Jakubowski-Bauza Eleanor Regina Jakubowski-Bauza 70, of New York City was bestowed her angel wings on October 11, 2010, with family by her side. Eleanor was born on June 13, 1940, in Camden, NJ to Walter and Regina Jakubowski. She later moved to Cherry Hill, NY where she lived a vibrant and loving family life with her parents two sisters and brother. She graduated from St Mary’s of The Angels Academy in Haddonfield, NJ in 1958 and continued her education in philosophy and religion at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC and Columbia University in New York, NY. Eleanor, soon built her own loving family home in New York City, NY. She spent much of her time as a devoted caretaker of both her children and parents. Eleanor, led a life of unceasing generosity and selflessness. Her interests included family, singing, piano, gardening and reading. She was a member of The New York Grand Opera House in New York City, where she performed as a soprano in La Boheme and Madame Butterfly. She was also a long-standing member of and pianist at The Gurdjieff Foundation, where she learned the teachings of transcendence from inner poverty to consciousness, conscience and sensation. She yearned to live in a vital and aware state. She vigorously did so throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband Ediliberto L Bauza of New York City,NY Two daughters Eleanor Rusher and her husband Dr Edward Rusher of Amherst,NH and Magdalena Bauza of New York City, NY. One son Ediliberto G Bauza of New York City, NY. Two grandchildren Azariah Rusher and Agassi Rusher. One sister Dorothy Torrey of East Sandwich,MA and one brother Roger Jakubowski of Port Kent,NY. Also several nephews, nieces and family and friends in Cherry Hill, NJ, Cape Cod, MA and New York City. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday October 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Sandwich Town Cemetery on Route 130 in Sandwich,MA.
